At Blaque Iron Skillet, our mission is to serve our community with purpose by delivering exceptional, professional culinary experiences. We are committed to growing alongside our customers, transforming their visions into reality with care and creativity. Through fresh, memorable dining experiences, we honor the artistry of food and our role within the culinary community.

About US: Blaque Iron Skillet FAMILY

Blaque Iron Skillet is a family‑owned and operated business built on the belief that love is food, and food is loved. Proudly, from St. Louis, Missouri, we bring the bold taste of the Midwest to every table we serve. 

With roots from German traditions, Mississippi & Louisiana Creole culture, our cuisine reflects a rich blend of flavors—what many lovingly call real comfort food. The name Blaque Iron Skillet honors our commitment to authentic, soulful cooking. If it can go in a skillet, it will go in a skillet—hot, seasoned, and made with intention.


Our recipes are crafted from scratch and passed down through generations, preserving the timeless techniques that make each dish unforgettable. We aim to make your taste buds dance and leave you with a lasting memory every time you think of Blaque Iron Skillet.


A story from our founder:

I discovered my love for cooking at an early age—probably around nine. I started small, making simple breakfasts, then bigger ones, and eventually full Thanksgiving meals alongside my late sister. Some nights we were rebels, waking up at 2 a.m. to cook full‑course meals just because we wanted a “snack.” Seared pork chops, green beans, potatoes—before long, the whole family was up at 2 a.m. sharing what became dinner, breakfast, or whatever we decided to call it.


It didn’t matter what time it was; what mattered was that it brought us together. Cooking became our way to fellowship, laugh, and create memories during moments most people would consider anything but normal.

Coming from a long line of cooks and bakers, learning to cook wasn’t optional—it was a way of life. Feeding others became my purpose, and those early moments shaped the heart behind everything I create today. 


Catering found its way into my life almost by accident. The idea was first suggested by a mentor, and I immediately shared it with my sister, who has since passed on. After losing her, I knew I had to bring this vision to life in her honor. When I look back at our messages, all we ever talked about was food—what we were cooking, what we were craving, what we were going to eat next. Turning this idea into reality has been a joy and a tribute to her spirit.


Today, my brother and I, along with our dedicated team and family, pour that same love and passion for food into every event we touch. Sharing this gift with others is not just our work—it’s our purpose.
